Electronic machines whos processing power is used to create formulas which can accuratly represent the world and solve problems for people.

We want to know how far a bowling ball will go, how fast it will take an apple to fall to the ground, what an image hold inside it, or what image represents the concept "cat".
These are all concepts of figuring out an algorithm that defines the world around us.
